Arthroscopic Surgeon
Physicians can examine, diagnose, and treat issues inside a joint via an arthroscopy. Being an outpatient procedure for a minor operation, you can return home the same day. If you have joint inflammation, have sustained joint deterioration over time, or have been injured in a joint, your doctor might suggest it. Any joint can undergo arthroscopy surgery. It is typically done on the wrist, ankle, hip, shoulder, knee, or elbow. To assess the extent of the joint injury, your doctor will make multiple tiny incisions in your joint and insert a device known as an arthroscope. They can also fix a lot of injuries that arise after arthroscopy. Make sure to let your doctor know about any vitamins or medications you take before undergoing any kind of surgery, including an arthroscopy.
Keep all valuables, including watches and jewellery, at home. Wear items of easily put-on and taken-off apparel that you find comfortable. Unless instructed differently by your physician, avoid eating or drinking anything the night before your arthroscopy. Before the treatment, you will be given some sponges dipped in soap to clean your knee and shoulder.
